Software not on server

Cannot download popular software ie. Digikam and VMware Player - response = "cannot find software on server"

Please advise

What OS and version of the CNR Client is installed?

I'm using freespire 2008 and the CNR client that loads with it (from live CD)

Having endless problems with CNR

1. HTTP 500 ERROR most of the time

2. Cannot download any software - gets as far as loadibf files and then fails

3. It's often a battle to login

Do you know if theres a general problem with the repository software as well? If not

then how do I load the synaptic manader onto freespire or will it not update.

I know you use sudo apt-get update and then install the menus/index what is the entry for that?

Is everybody havibg a problem?

I got the same messages with Linspire 6.0.17. I tried again (several times) and got it to work, eventually (different software packages)

Hi ya'all


I tried several soft wares with the same result. That is I get the message "software not on server". I pounded the Little green man, but he wouldn't give me anything..

It seems to be a widely spread problem!
