looking for a dvd program{player}

I am new to linux based OS. So far I have been happy with it. I seemed to be having problems playing store bought DVD's., especially the tv series type of DVD's with large menues as well as copyright issues. I bought the copy rights when i bought the DVD, so there should be some player out there that can play it.

Those copyright issues are just a red herring bought and paid for by the DVD-stampers struggling for a nickel. I found that I can play just about anything on VideoLAN, and what will not play there will play on Kplayer.
