I've done it before but escapes me at the moment.

I'm installing Kubuntu 8.04 on two identical Dell's. I managed (somehow) to get CNR fully functional on one of them but I'm still @square one on the other. CNR just won't cooperate. I tried to find the old instructions but they seem to have vanished.

Running in konsole:

root@cUBS-601:~# apt-cache policy cnr-client
cnr-client:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: (none)
Version table:
0.2.3825-0cnr1~hardy1 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Any ideas?

thanx,
john

Doesn't look like you've downloaded the latest client...

---

What do I tell it to open it with? CNR doesn't work.

The " Installation Instructions for CNR Client" says "Ensure Open with: GDebi Package Installer (default) is
selected"

but THAT does not tell you WHAT the NAME of the installer is!!

This seems to be THE hanging point for me.
