I, creator of Greenie Linux, am writing about using the CNR software in the newest (and currently under development) version of Greenie.

In previous versions CNR works well (Greenie is based on Ubuntu), and in version 3.0 (based on ubuntu 8.04 hardy) will be CNR as a bookmark and CNR client installed by default.

Have a nice day ;)

That's awesome. If you would like us to "officially" support your distro, there are some things we will need to do, but its up to you since it already works as an Ubuntu derivative.

Here is the list:

1) We need the source.list for your repository so we can import and catalog it

2) We need to know how to identify your OS from Ubuntu. Typically this information is found in the /etc/issue or /etc/lsbrelease files.

3) Once we know what to look for, we will add the capability to use that information to the client and release a new build for you.

4) Once we have imported your repository we will package all the add on stuff and release that live

5) We need a 44px by 45px logo image to put on the distro finder bar of each product page and the client download page (even though its already on the OS)

Let me know if and how you would like to proceed

many thanks, BigDawg

Sure, I like to make it officially, so time to work harder :)

1) Okay, I will past it when it will be done. Greenie3 will have a Ubuntu Hardy repostory + some bonuses

2) /etc/issue:

Greenie 3.0 \n \l

/etc/lsbrelease is in *buntu systems as /etc/lsb-release. This will be here:

DISTRIB_ID=Greenie
DISTRIB_RELEASE=3
DISTRIB_CODENAME=H
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Greenie 3"

3) many thanks :) can it be translated into other language? Greenie is primary for Slovak and Czech users. Of course I will translate it, of course if it is possible...

4) great :)

5) without problems. i have a transparend SVG/PNG too. Here i uploaded it (PNG 1000x1000), so just resize it into any size by any prog.

The link to your logo retuns a 404 error.

We will move forward with building a client to detect your distribution. The client is not in a position in terms of the codebase to be localized yet. That is on our short list of things to get done, so it shouldn't be too long.
