Hello ; The question is with the CNR client distrobution identy.

I have FreeSpire, Linspire, and Ubuntu 7.10 all working fine with the CNR client. The problem is with the new Ubuntu 8.04 distrobution. It is listed in the CNR client download and it does download and installs OK, but it will not initialize after starting. ???

It seems that it cannot identify the distrobution that I am running .
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what might be happening?

Please post reply or send email; Thanks

Solution: Open CNR.conf in the /home/USER/.config/Linspire, Inc. directory and modify:

DistArchID=16
DistID=16

There are some tips in CNR Client Testing (might have to modify the CNR.config file in /home/USER/.config/Linspire, Inc.)...

JD is to fast for me :)...

Hello and Thanks; The CNR.conf file modification worked perfectly.

I had a little trouble finding it until I changed the view in the file manager so it would show all files. The CNR client now works and I have downloaded and installed several packages and everything seems to work like it should. I know there will be bugs or rough spots in the beta releases and this was to be expected.
