Failure on commercial product

Tried a few days ago to install Pixel Editor but CNR came back with 'failed to determine dependencies'.

Is there a simple solution to this? I have a support ticket open with this but no joy yet.

Ta.

Just installed the demo version of Pixel from their website and works fine.

So do I just purchase it from their website and have done with it or is CNR going to take much longer to get back to me with some sort of progress. I feel like CNR is keeping me in the dark on this, If it can't be installed by CNR then at least being told that it's work in progress would be useful.

Another option is bugzilla (submit New bug)...

But how do I know if it's a CNR bug? It soesn't workon my system but might work on everyone else's install.

It would've been nice to have had some more feedback via my support ticket but there's been none.

At least it hasn't been closed yet!

The issue with Pixel has been identified (and fixed), and should be uploaded sometime on Thursday 20 March 2008...

Thanks Ken, I will hold fire on purchasing until then.

This is the info that should have come back to me on the support ticket though.

Understand, but to be fair the Support Team doesn't have real-time direct access to the developers to know the status on issues like this. Will pass your concerns along to improve the process...

Still not working.

I'll hold fire on purchasing until after Easter. If it's not working by then I'll have to purchase and install it from the pixel website.

Investigating (sorry can't promise the issue will be resolved prior to Monday, understood the package should have been pushed already)...

You might want to consider the purchase today, and I've been told we'll get the issue resolved on Monday morning PDT...

I saw the cheaper price earlier. But the issue remains, to purchase it I have to do it through CNR yet CNR is erroring me with 'failed to calculate dependencies'. And if this is a known error then why offer a cheaper price through CNR if it can't be purchased or installed?

The reason I coughed up for CNR Gold is to support CNR and Linspire and because I've always got back more with CNR due to purchasing commercial products,

Hmph.

Ken, is there any way to purchase this at the reduced price before the offer ends?

Understand that the error occurred prior to the purchase? Will investigate and see what we can do. Unfortunately can't do anything until Monday...

Sorry, won't be resolved until tomorrow (Monday 24 March) when the fix is imported into the CNR repositories...
