Dear all,

I have facing problems reading and typing Simplified and Traditional Chinese. What I have did so far was to install the SCIM Chinese input, but no input language toolbar appear.

Thank you very much for your guidance.

Dear Sir,

I have installed the fonts as per your instructions. The Chinese fonts are appearing gibberish and squares with number. Are there steps which I have missed?

I have also restarted the comp.

Thank you so much!

After restarting the comp, about 85% of the Chinese characters appear. There are some words which still appear with squares. Using SCIM setup, I am unable to input any Chinese characters....hmmm....what other things could be missing?

ttf-arphic-ukaiY is case sensitive (captial Y)

The issue is clearly missing fonts, but I do not know of any other Chinese font packages.
