Hello everyone,

I am very excited about the prospect of CNR.com for Ubuntu! I would like to start this forum for the purpose of providing the developers feedback on the way the CNR client works with Ubuntu. If there is a better location for this thread, please let me know.

So far, I have some questions concerning the client:

1. How does CNR work with respect to Ubuntu's security? Since installing the client via apt-get, I have yet to enter my root password to install packages. Has CNR found a loophole in the Ubuntu security framework, or is there a reason why I am not being prompted for my root password (as is the case when using apt-get)?

2. I am guessing that the commercial software repository for Ubuntu has not yet been released as I have not seen any commercial DVD playing application. Is this correct?

Thank you in advance!

Regarding the commercial DVD player, the solution is close...

So far so good. I am having an unusual thing going on the last 2 days. My Ubuntu system has actually frozen. I am not sure if this is a direct cause of CNR.

I am going to keep an eye on it and just for giggles, I may do a fresh install. Ugh.
